Until my eldest was diagnosed with food allergies, I never paid much attention to food labels. With five years of dealing with food allergies under my belt, reading the words "may contain..." has become a necessary part of my life each and every day. I remember receiving the test results over the phone from the allergist and feeling as if my world was flipped upside down. With every allergen he listed, I felt more despair and wondered what in the world I would feed my child. After many seemingly wasted hours in the kitchen and dollars in expensive, far-out (or so I thought) ingredients, I am here to tell you and show you that there is hope! Whether you yourself or a child or loved one has just been diagnosed with food allergies or restrictions, or if you're a seasoned food-allergy expert simply wanting to commiserate or laugh along with me in my experiences, I hope this blog will provide a little something for everyone.
